Conclusion
Throughout my research on this project I learned a lot about Afghanistan and its traditions. Afghanistan has retained many of its original traditions from hundreds years ago. Some of these traditions include living under strict Islamic rule, wearing certain clothing, and poetry. Also the country has stayed completely Muslim throughout its history. However, there were some aspects of Afghan society that did change throughout the years. Some of these things included the change from a monarchical govt. to a republican govt. Another change was the change in ownership of Afghan land. It changed from Mughal control to British control, and then finally to independance. I think that tradition and modernity has clashed in a few ways in Afghanistan. For example, as the world and communications progress in the world, in some ways Afghanistan seems to be stuck in it's old, strict traditions. Such as, having women cover their enitre body, and children only having to go school for 6 years. One of the biggest factors in changes in the country that i found, were the struggles over the control of the land in this country. Throughout the years Aghan land has been controlled by the Mughals and Britain and thrown back and forth many times in betweeen. This land struggle has caused many changes in Afghanistan's society.
